About Event:

The vibrant city of Brisbane is set to host an electrifying Punjabi cultural event, THE GIDDHA CUP 2024, a celebration of traditional Punjabi dance and culture. Scheduled to take place on 24th of August, the event promises a dynamic display of Giddha, a lively and rhythmic folk dance performed by women.

Teams from across Australia & NZ will compete, showcasing their best moves and colorful costumes, bringing a piece of Punjab to the heart of Brisbane.

In addition to the thrilling dance performances, the Giddha Cup will feature an array of attractions for attendees. A variety of food trucks will be on-site, offering delicious Punjabi cuisine and other international delicacies, ensuring a delightful culinary experience.

This celebration is not just a dance competition but a cultural extravaganza, highlighting the rich traditions of Punjab. It's a family-friendly event that promises entertainment for all ages, with interactive activities and stalls offering traditional crafts and souvenirs.

This event is proudly brought to you by the Punjabi Folk Dance Association (PFDA) with the support of thier extremely dedicated and enthusiastic supporters and volunteers.
